ABOUT GARRETT RUPP:

I am a dedicated student athlete that works just as hard in the community and in the classroom as I do on the field. I am a leader and am very active at school in NHS and as Key Club Treasurer. I also am a youth ambassador for the Diocese of Phoenix.

I am a soon to be eagle scout and experienced outdoorsman. I love to water ski and ride dirt bikes. I am in 3 AP classes and 2 honors courses this year. My time management skills have definitely pushed to their limits this year and I have excelled. On the field, I am a leader in many ways. I set an example in how I act and the character that I am as well as by the way I play the game.

Next year, as a senior, I plan to be one of the main leaders of the team and to help guide us to a State Championship. This year I was our closer and I had a ton of fun and a ton of success in this position. This year, I posted very good stats but more importantly, for me, I helped our team win some very close games. I love playing for the team because I feel if it weren’t for the team, I wouldn’t even have an opportunity to be on the field, ever. I am very thankful for all that I have in baseball and in my home life.

I am a strong character, I keep a positive demeanor on the field and I am not afraid to show heart and emotion when I get my team out of a jam. Our team feeds of each other’s emotion and I love this feeling of camaraderie. I have been told that my poise calm attitude give me an added dominance on the mound that increases my effectiveness. I want to prosper in college and I feel that I am physically and mentally capable of excelling at the next level. I am looking not only for a good baseball program that I can contribute to but also for a school that will challenge me and I can excel at. A good combination athletics with strong academics I feel will be the best fit for me.
