ABOUT VALENTINO:
On the field, I love hitting people and playing offensive line. I have been playing football since the second grade and I consider it one of my favorite sports. I love being part of a team, and working every day at practice to challenge my teammates and myself. I consider myself a team player because I will play any position at any point in a practice or game to help my team win. I have always played offensive and defensive line, but as I’ve entered high school, I have become more focused on the offensive side of the ball. Yet I'm still starting on both sides of the ball.
Off the field I am a student first. I focus on my grades to be able to play sports, as an incentive. I play basketball, both club and at the varsity level for our high school team, during the winter, spring and summer. But I still work in the weight room year round to get bigger, faster, and stronger for the season coming up.
I work in the food services outside of football and school, and in my extra time I like to hang out with my friends. I also participate in community service such as soup kitchens, and I've been a participant of “One Stone", a student-led volunteer organization.
From Boise HS Head Coach Bob Clark:
"Val is the best O-lineman I have ever coached. His physical stature at 6'4/280 is made more impressive by his quickness and flexibility. Val makes all our line calls, protections and checks. He is a legit D-1 talent."
