ABOUT MADELINE:

On the field, I try my best to be a good example and leader for my team. I encourage any player that is down and am always keeping my head in the game. Freshman year I was a starter and hit fourth for the JV team, and sophomore year I was the starting left fielder and hit in the 5 spot, as well as finishing with the 12th highest batting average in the conference. I am very vocal in the outfield, always reminding the other players where the next play is, the number of outs, where the current hitter is in the lineup, and where the batter hit to their previous at bat. In the outfield, my arm is one of my best strengths.

Since freshman year, I have been a .400 plus hitter in both club and school ball. Off the field, I spend most of my time studying. I am in the top 15% in my class, and am currently in 3 AP courses. I enjoy writing and reading, which is why I would love to study to be a journalist. I attend Camelback Bible Church and am involved with it's youth group. I also volunteer in the nursery at my church and babysit for many families in my neighborhood. I also volunteer at the Woman’s Hope Center, a center for women and teen girls who find themselves in difficult situations and provide them with support for their physical, spiritual, and emotional needs.
